On Friday, May 12th, the UFC held its ceremonial weigh-ins ahead of UFC Charlotte, where the fighters had their final face-offs before their highly anticipated fights. The event features two women’s bouts, both on the prelims.

The first women’s fight on the card is between Australian veteran Jessica-Rose Clark and Brazilian UFC newcomer Tainara Lisboa in the bantamweight division. Both fighters successfully made weight at the early weigh-ins, which were recently published by WMMA Rankings. During the ceremonial weigh-ins, Clark, who weighed in at 135.5 pounds, faced off against Lisboa, who weighed in at 134 pounds. Although the face-off was quiet, both fighters displayed intense expressions. Lisboa maintained a focused look while staring at Clark, who confidently smiled back at her opponent.

The second women’s fight on the card is between South Korean Ji Yeon Kim and German fighter Mandy Bohm in the flyweight division. Like the previous face-off, both women had already made weight at the early weigh-ins. However, this face-off was extremely heated. Both women were in each other’s faces, mouthing off nasty words. Kim, who weighed in at 126 pounds, has a slight reach advantage over Bohm, who also weighed in at 126 pounds. Kim looked focused and determined as she stared down her opponent, while Bohm looked equally intense and ready to go.

The final face-offs gave fans a glimpse of the intensity and determination of the women and set the stage for what should be an exciting night of fights.

Both the Jessica-Rose Clark vs. Tainara Lisboa and Ji Yeon Kim vs. Mandy Bohm fights take place on the prelims of UFC Charlotte, which air on ESPN+ from Noon EST. The event takes place on Saturday from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
