At the upcoming UFC Fight Night event in Busan, South Korea, two new contenders will be entering the strawweight division.
Veronica Macedo (6-3-1) will meet Amanda Lemos (6-1-1) in what will be both fighters UFC strawweight debuts.
Macedo submitted Polyana Viana in 69 seconds at UFC Uruguay in August to snap a four fight skid that consisted of three losses and one draw. She has competed in the UFC as both a bantamweight and a flyweight but will now look to climb the strawweight rankings.
In 2017, Brazil’s Lemos made her UFC debut at 135 pounds versus Leslie Smith. She lost the bout in the second round and than was forced to take a two year hiatus when USADA suspended her for a failed out-of-competition drug test.
Who do you think will fare better at strawweight?
