UFC strawweight Vanessa Demopoulos is eyeing the bright lights upon her return to the octagon.

Vanessa Demopoulos put on a showcase at UFC Vegas 65.

Demopoulos (9-4-0) improved her win streak to three this past Saturday night at UFC Vegas 65 after defeating Maria Oliveira by way of a unanimous decision.

The 34-year-old has fought the majority of her UFC fights in the APEX facility in Las Vegas. During a chat with reporters post-fight, she expressed that she feels ready to step out of the APEX and start fighting in front of a crowd on the big cards.

Start putting me on some of these main cards. Let’s go for these pay-per-view events. Like, what are we doing here? I think this is like my third trip here to the (UFC) Apex, which I love – don’t get me wrong. But I want to be on these bigger shows, and I’m willing to show out. I hope that I’ve been entertaining enough thus far. Let’s go. What are we talking about?” Demopoulos said.

The ‘Lil Monster’ is very pleased with Saturday night’s performance and feels as though it is one of her best yet.

I feel like this was one of my more dominant performances – especially when it had gone to a decision. I had a lot of control time. I had a lot of ground-and-pound. I almost KO’d her entirely even on the feet, so I felt like I really got to show off this fight.” she said.

Earlier this year, Demopoulos opened up about how she quit her exotic dancing career in order to focus full-time on MMA. It seems the hard work is paying off. Upon her return to the cage in 2023, the flyweight hopeful will be looking to make it four straight.
