
UFC stars Valentina Shevchenko & Julianna Pena win big at the World MMA Awards 2022
The World MMA Awards 2022 took place on Thursday and two of the big winners of the evening were UFC stars Valentina Shevchenko and Julianna Pena.

Shevchenko and Pena won big at the 2022 award show. Shevchenko earned the ‘Female Fighter of the Year’ honor, whilst Julianna Pena picked up the ‘Upset of the Year’ for her submission win over Amanda Nunes.
The World MMA Awards, presented by Fighters Only magazine, is the most prestigious award show in MMA. Launching in 2008, the organization has handed out awards to some of the biggest names in the sport including Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes.
Other fighters nominated alongside Shevchenko in the Female Fighter of the Year category were Julianna Pena, Cris Cyborg, Kayla Harrison and Raquel Pennington.
