UFC flyweight Manon Fiorot is set to undergo knee surgery and will be out of action for the foreseeable future.

Fiorot picked up a huge victory at UFC 280.

Fiorot (10-1-0) recently appeared on the RMC Sport Combat show and revealed she injured her knee during her UFC 280 fight against Katlyn Chookagian. The French woman says she ruptured a ligament and will require surgery next Tuesday, she does not know when she will be back in the cage.

Last month at UFC 280, Fiorot defeated Katlyn Chookagian via unanimous decision. The victory was a huge one for Fiorot that saw her leap up to the number-one position in the UFC’s official flyweight contender rankings. Following the big win, Fiorot expressed that she would like one more fight before challenging Shevchenko for the title.

The 32-year-old has gone 5-0 since signing with the UFC, picking up victories over Jennifer Maia, Tabatha Ricci, Victoria Leonardo, and Mayra Bueno Silva, before her recent win over Chookagian.

The WMMA Rankings Team would like to wish Manon Fiorot a speedy recovery and hope to see her back in the cage soon.
