UFC 281 results: Erin Blanchfield dominates Molly McCann, winning by first-round submission

Saturday night at UFC 281, Erin “Cold Blooded” Blanchfield was victorious in flyweight action, submitting Molly “Meatball” McCann in the first round (kimura).

It was one-way traffic for Blanchfield, who quickly grounded McCann with a double leg to dominate the action from the crucifix position. While McCann did her best to resist, she was ultimately forced to tap to a nasty kimura.

Blanchfield climbs to 10-1-0 overall, making it 4-0 in the UFC. Entering the about as the UFC’s No. 12 ranked flyweight, the 23-year-old now sets her sights on the division’s top ten.

The loss snapped a three-fight win streak for the fan favorite McCann, who is now 13-5-0 overall.
