Saturday night at the UFC 269 pay-per-view event, Julianna Pena submitted Amanda Nunes by way of a second-round rear-naked choke to capture the bantamweight championship.

Pena (11-4-0) picks up arguably the biggest upset of all time by finishing the women’s MMA goat in Amanda Nunes to capture the belt. With the victory, ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ is the fifth bantamweight champion in the UFC’s history, former champions including Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm and Miesha Tate.

Nunes (21-5-0) suffers the first defeat since 2014 against Cat Zingano. ‘The Lioness’ has been on a 12-fight win streak prior to the loss. She is still the reigning 145-pound featherweight champion of the world.
