Tonight, at The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale show in Las Vegas, Invicta vet Leah Letson and Lithuania’s Julija Stoliarenko will do battle in the second ever non-title women’s featherweight bout.
RECAP: Both fighters were Team Whittaker during TUF 28– Letson donning the light blue and Julija wearing dark blue. The first round was contested on the feet an played out pretty evenly. Both fighters landed nice combinations, reddening the face of the other. Letson controlled the center of the Octagon. A little more than halfway through the second round, Julija tried for a single leg but was denied by Leah. In the final seconds of the round, Julija landed a stiff elbow that cut the left eyebrow of LL. Third round and these two are still slugging it out. Julija tries for a takedown again but Letson pops right back up– Julija drags her right back down with a tight looking guillotine! LL grimaces but she gives the ref a thumbs up. Leah pops her head out! She spends the rest of the round on top of Stoliarenko but doesn’t land anything significant.
