Larissa Pacheco upset Kayla Harrison at Friday’s PFL event.

Pacheco showed her continued evolution as a fighter on Friday night, avenging her two 2019 losses to Kayla Harrison by defeating her via unanimous decision.

The Brazilian has been on quite the journey in MMA. Back in 2014, at just 20 years old, she was signed to the UFC to compete as a 135-pound bantamweight. After losing fights against Germaine de Randamie and Jessica Andrade, she was cut from her contract.

Following that setback, Pacheco put on a lot of size, as well as continued to work on her skills.

Eight years later and she is now the PFL 155-pound lightweight champion of the world. Still only 28 years old, Pacheco most certainly hasn’t even reached her prime yet.
