Taila Santos has called out Valentina Shevchenko for a rematch at the UFC 282 event on December 10.

Taila Santos came very close in her quest for UFC gold this past June.

Santos (19-2-0) challenged Valentina Shevchenko for the UFC flyweight championship at this past June’s UFC 275 event. The Brazilian found a lot of success in the fight, particularly in the grappling department, landing multiple takedowns and coming close on a number of submission attempts. Ultimately, she lost a split decision, with two of the three judges awarding the fight to Shevchenko.

Earlier this week, Santos took to her Instagram story to issue an official call-out for a rematch. The 29-year-old is eager to get the fight booked as soon as possible and would like to see it at the UFC 282 event on December 10.

UFC 282 only has one title bout so far, wanna do the rematch there Valentina?” Santos wrote.

UFC 282 is less than two months away. If the fight is not booked for the event, another possibility is UFC 283 which takes place on January 21 from Taila Santos’ home country of Brazil.
