Karolina Sobek picked up a big win at Friday night’s Armia Fight Night 9 event, defeating Klaudia Sygula by way of a second-round Scarfhold Armlock Submission.

The victory is a big one for Poland’s Sobek as she continues to show the evolution she is undergoing as an athlete, fight-by-fight. The featherweight prospect lost to Klaudia Sygula by way of a first-round submission in an exhibition bout last year, meaning she successfully avenged the loss at this past Friday’s event.
UFC and Bellator MMA currently have 145-pound women’s fights, however it’s no secret both organizations have had trouble finding legit featherweights to compete in these divisions. Many fighters who these organizations have signed are very young into their MMA careers including UFC’s Danyelle Wolf (1-0-0) and Bellator’s Jessica Borga (3-2-0) and Charlotte Mcintyre (1-0-0). If Sobek continues to pick up victories in 2021, a UFC or Bellator contract could be in her near future.
