Friday night at the PFL World Championship 2022 event, Larissa Pacheco shocked the world, defeating Kayla Harrison via unanimous decision (48-47, 47-47, 48-47) to claim the PFL women’s lightweight world title and $1 million.
After five hard, back-and-forth rounds, the 28-year-old Brazilian fighter was declared the victor. The 25-minute affair highlighted the improved skills of both women, on the ground and on the feet.
Pacheco improves her overall record to 19-4-0, becoming the first woman to defeat Harrison. Harrison falls to 15-1-0 overall.
