PFL World Championship 2022 results: Aspen Ladd triumphant in PFL debut, defeats Julia Budd by split-decision

Friday night at the PFL World Championship 2022 event, Aspen Ladd emerged victorious in her PFL featherweight debut, defeating Julia Budd via split-decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).
The former UFC bantamweight got off to a quick start, taking the Budd to the ground early to bank the first round on a majority of the scorecards. In the second round, Budd imposed a clinch-heavy attack on Ladd, landing numerous knees in the clinch. In the third and final round, both fighters did their bests to sway the judges, swinging wildly until the final bell.
Now an official featherweight, Ladd improved her overall record to 10-3-0, snapping a two-fight skid. Budd, the former Bellator featherweight queen, moved to 16-5-0 overall.
