Larissa Pacheco recently defeated Olympic and world judo champion Kayla Harrison, who up until that point, was undefeated in MMA and had twice beaten Pacheco in prior matches. While Pacheco is willing to give Harrison a rematch, she expressed her desire to be included in talks for “super fights,” against the likes of Bellator MMA Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg.
“Kayla was talking about the super fight with [Cris] Cyborg. Now I’m in the game, too. Let’s do a super fight, Cyborg. Let’s do it at 155.” Larissa told the MMA Hour per SBNation.
PFL has yet to release a schedule for 2023 so only time will tell what lays ahead for Pacheco. While Harrison has decided not to participate in another regular season of PFL, Pacheco isn’t against doing so, as long as her name is in the mix for the big money making fights as well.
“Yeah, I want to be in this game. I’d like to fight Cyborg. I want to fight Kayla. I want to be in the middle of this. I want to make it happen.” Pacheco explained on the MMA Hour.
Aspen Ladd a former UFC prospect and current PFL Featherweight, recently commented that the opponents of Pacheco and Harrison are “nothing compared to the people that I have fought.” Per SBNation.
Needless to say Pacheco had a response.
“I don’t know why she’s [Ladd], saying these things…She just got here.“
It seems there are quite a few options for Cris Cyborg to choose from. Anyone who’s anyone is throwing their hat in the ring for a chance to fight her. Who do you think would make for the most exciting “super fight?” Let us know down in the comments!
