UFC flyweight Gillian Robertson has teased a move down to the strawweight division.

Robertson is a proven finisher in the UFC’s flyweight division.

Robertson (11-7-0) has been a mainstay in UFC’s 125-pound flyweight division since 2017, however it seems as though the Canadian could be set for a drop down to the 115-pound weight class.

On Friday, ‘The Savage’ took to her Instagram page to post a video of herself posing in front of a mirror. In the caption, she wrote “Lookin like a strawweight or something 🤔.

Robertson has picked up several big wins since signing with the UFC – including finishes of Molly McCann, Priscila Cachoeira, and Mariya Agapova. Still only 27 years old, the UFC veteran hasn’t even reached her prime yet.

Take a look at all the UFC records Robertson has broken.
– Most finishes in UFC women’s flyweight division history – 7.
– Most submission wins in UFC women’s history – 6.
– Most submission wins in UFC women’s flyweight division history – 6.
– Tied with Katlyn Chookagian for most fights in UFC women’s flyweight division history – 13.
– Third most wins in UFC women’s flyweight division history – 8.

Strawweight could potentially be the beginning of a new start for Robertson. At 115 pounds she most certainly won’t be undersized or outmatched for strength, whilst her elite ground game and ever-improving striking make her a danger to anyone.
