Marina Rodriguez is not happy with the referee for stopping her fight at UFC Vegas 64 against Amanda Lemos.

Marina Rodriguez suffered an upset defeat at UFC Vegas 64.

Rodriguez (16-2-2) lost to Lemos in the main event of UFC Vegas 64 by way of a third-round TKO. The stoppage came after Lemos wobbled Rodriguez on the feet. Rodriguez appeared to retreat towards the cage before the referee waved the fight off.

Following the fight, Rodriguez took to her social media pages to let her feelings be known. She isn’t happy with the stoppage and is adamant she was willing to take “a lot more”.

You stopped too soon! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ As a professional, I’m there to face a lot more, that’s what I’m in this game !!! It’s part of the game, win, lose, in different situations! We continue in our way! Thank you all for the support and cheerleading! 🙏🏻 #ufcvegas64.” she wrote on Twitter.

The loss is a major setback for Rodriguez, a woman who many had been touting as a potential challenger for the winner of the upcoming strawweight championship fight between Carla Esparza & Zhang Weili. The 35-year-old owns notable UFC victories against the likes of Amanda Ribas, Mackenzie Dern, Xiaonan Yan, and Michelle Waterson-Gomez.

UFC Vegas 64 took place on November 5, 2022, from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
