Former UFC fighter Nadia Kassem is set to enter the world of professional boxing when she makes her debut on March 27.
Kassem (5-2-0 Pro MMA, 0-0 Pro Boxing) was released from her UFC contract last year following a 1-2 run in which she picked up a victory over Alex Chambers but lost out to Montana De La Rosa and Ji Yeon Kim. The 25-year-old, who trains out of the Australian Top Team in Sydney, has finished four of her career wins by way of knockouts and looks to continue showing off her striking when she enters the sport of professional boxing.
Also known as ‘187’, Kassem’s professional boxing debut will take place on March 27 from the Gunnedah Town Hall in Gunnedah, New South Wales, Australia.
Kassem’s opponent at the event will be Parris Burtenshaw, a fellow Australian who will also be making her professional debut. The bout between the pair will be contested in the super bantamweight division, which in boxing is held at 118-pounds.
