Per MMA Fighting, a flyweight fight between Miesha Tate & Lauren Murphy is being targeted for the UFC 273 event on April 9, 2022.

Tate (19-8-0) will officially make the jump down to the 125-pound flyweight division after teasing the move for a month now. Murphy (15-5-0) will be competing for the first time since September where she was unsuccessful in her bid to capture the UFC flyweight championship, losing to Valentina Shevchenko by way of a fourth-round TKO. The ‘Lucky’ one owns notable promotional wins over the likes of Joanne Wood, Roxanne Modafferi and Andrea Lee.

UFC 273 is set to take place on April 9, 2022, from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, United States.
