Featherweight contender Felicia Spencer returns at UFC Fight Night Norfolk on February 29

Featherweight contender Felicia Spencer has taken to social media to confirm she will return to action at the UFC Fight Night event in Norfolk on February 29.

Spencer (7-1-0) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Cris Cyborg at the UFC 240 event this past July. Despite losing, the 29-year-old won over fans by displaying her toughness and heart, withstanding extreme punishment from Cyborg whilst also managing to do some damage herself.

Also known as the ‘Feenom’, Spencer is a former Invicta FC featherweight champion who owns wins over the likes of Pam Sorenson and Helena Kolesnyk. The Jungle MMA standout made her UFC debut this past May, submitting Megan Anderson in the very first-round.

As of right now, Spencer’s opponent for the event has not yet been announced but is expected to be confirmed in the very near future.

UFC on ESPN+ 27 takes place on Saturday February 29, 2020, from the Chartway Arena in  Norfolk, Virginia, United States.

  1. I wish the UFC would cut her to allow her to join Bellator, the only true featherweight division.

Her weight class simply isn’t happening under Dana. He’s simply not invested in it.
