A featherweight contest between Felicia Spencer and Danyelle Wolf has been set for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 192 event on May 22.
Spencer (8-2-0) will be fighting for the first time since losing to Amanda Nunes via unanimous decision in a UFC featherweight championship match last June. The 30-year-old is considered the best 145-pound fighter on the UFC’s roster, other than Nunes, following dominant victories over the likes of Megan Anderson and Zarah Fairn Dos Santos. Also known as the ‘Feenom’, Spencer is a former Invicta FC featherweight champion who picked up wins over Pam Sorenson and Helena Kolesnyk during her time with the organization. She notably went three rounds with Cris Cyborg in 2019, losing a hard-fought unanimous decision.
Wolf (1-0-0) will be making her UFC debut after defeating Taneisha Tennant on an episode of Dana White’s Contender Series last September to earn a contract. The 37-year-old may have limited MMA experience, however her experience in combat sports is certainly not lacking. Winning multiple US National Boxing Championships, Wolf is a highly accomplished professional boxer who has a 30-14-0 record in the sport.
UFC Fight Night 192 takes place on Saturday May 22, 2021. The location and venue has yet to be announced.
