Amanda Ribas returns to the cage at tonight’s UFC 257 pay-per-view event when she battles fellow rising Brazilian prospect, Marina Rodriguez.
The fight was made official at yesterday’s UFC 257 weigh-ins when Ribas and Rodriguez both came in at 116-pounds.
A big talking point on social media today has been Ribas’ current walk around weight. 24 hours after the weigh-in, Ribas’ father took to his social media pages to reveal that his daughter is currently walking around at 143.3 pounds. This means the Brazilian is almost 30 pounds heavier than what she weighed in at yesterday. Fans have been in shock on social media, with many debating how healthy they feel such a weight-cut is.
Ribas has made it known that she is interested in competing and becoming world champion at both strawweight (115lbs) and flyweight (125lbs).
