Tuesday night at the UFC Apex, flyweights Tracy Cortez and Mariya Agapova did battle on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series for a chance to earn a UFC contract.
Early on, Agapova landed a couple of stiff shots to Cortez. Cortez seemed to have little problem absorbing the hits and continued to move forward– using her superior grappling skills to win a dominant unanimous decision.
Tracy Cortez (6-1) proves as gritty and determined as her story suggests, dominating Kazakhstan's Mariya Agapova en route to an impressive decision win! The Invicta FC vet has not lost since her pro debut. A UFC signing seems quite likely. #DWCS pic.twitter.com/E6UC03mkV0
