Denise Kielholtz makes MMA return against Jessica Middleton at #Bellator188

An exciting women’s flyweight bout has been added to Bellator 188 in Israel on November 16th.

Bellator kickboxing champ Denise Kielholtz (0-1 MMA, 45-3 kickboxing) will fight in MMA for the second time against Jessica Middleton in November. Kielholtz lost her first MMA fight in 2015 via armbar submission against Juliete de Souza Silva. Since then, she has focused on kickboxing, capturing the Bellator Kickboxing 125-pound title and amassing a 4-1 run. The talented striker is also a black belt in Judo.

Middleton last fought Emily Ducote on short notice, replacing an injured Valerie Letourneau. All of her professional fights have been under the Bellator banner. She has wins over Alice Yauger and Bruna Ellen.

Both fighters will be looking to make a statement toward a future Bellator flyweight title shot. On November 3rd, Bellator will crown it’s inaugural flyweight champion when Emily Ducote rematches Ilima-Lei Macfarlane.

  1. I hate this matchup because I like both women. I love the Jessica Middleton story that she quit her job and she is a full time MMA fighter and that is how she is making her income for her and her child. And I love the toughness and gritty-ness of Denise Kielholtz. This should be a interesting matchup.

      1. Jessica Middleton has bad takedown defense technic probably because she has so much strength that she sweeps her opponents, Bruna Ellen and Emily Ducote, from her back and ends up in top position. Her fight pace is really good.
