UFC legend Conor McGregor has predicted that Molly McCann will be the woman to dethrone flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko.

Molly McCann is riding high on a three-fight win streak.

Valentina Shevchenko is widely considered one of the greatest UFC champions of all time, regardless of gender. The 34-year-old defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk in December 2018 to capture the vacant belt and has since gone on to defend it an incredible seven times.

During a recent edition of The MacLife, Molly McCann shared a DM she was sent from McGregor. The Irishman was full of encouragement for the ‘Meatball’ and expressed how he is confident she will be the woman to take out Valentina Shevchenko.

You’re the UFC women’s champion, I know it. You’re going to sleep Valentina. When you know, you know baby. Nothing will ever stop that. Enjoy your newfound fame and keep the team tight and know the limit with the time you give. Just consider it a new job somewhat… and then train for real as if it’s Cage Warriors still, ’cause that’s what it is and that’s what we are, Cage Warriors.” he said.

McCann (13-4-0) is currently on a three-fight win streak. The 32-year-old has seen her stardom rise over the last year thanks to back-to-back knockout victories against Luana Carolina and Hannah Goldy. She returns to the cage at the UFC 281 event when she takes on Erin Blanchfield.

UFC 281 takes place on November 12, 2022, from Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York, United States.
