Cat Zingano planning to become a two-division UFC champion

Cat Zingano has revealed that she is planning to win the UFC featherweight championship and then go back down to bantamweight and win that title too.

Zingano is planning to become UFC’s first female two-division champion.

Zingano has been campaigning for a fight against Cris Cyborg for a long time. With UFC featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie refusing to fight the Brazilian, and saying she wants to go back to bantamweight, Zingano could find herself in a title fight with Cyborg sooner rather than later.

The 34-year-old is currently on a two-fight losing streak. Last July at UFC 200, she lost a unanimous decision to Julianna Pena. In her previous fight, she lost a title fight to Ronda Rousey.

Despite her recent losses, the “Alpha” is still one of the best female fighters in the world today. Her record includes wins over Raquel Pennington, former UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate, and current UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.

Take a look at Zingano’s Twitter post in which she officially confirms her plans to become a two-division champ:
