An interesting bantamweight bout has been added to UFC’s upcoming event in Mexico City on Sept. 21.
Former bantamweight title challenger Bethe “Pitbull” Correia (10-4-1) is slated to take on TUF 26 finalist Sijara “Sarj” Eubanks (4-3).
Correia challenged Ronda Rousey for the bantamweight title in 2015. Since than, she has gone 1-3-1 in the octagon with a win over Jessica Eye, a draw versus Marion Reneau, and losses to Holly Holm, Raquel Pennington, and Irene Aldana. The Brazilian brawler will look to get back on track when she meets Eubanks.
Eubanks holds wins over Lauren Murphy and Roxanne Modafferi as a UFC flyweight. After defeating Modafferi at UFC 230, “Sarj” decided to move up to the bantamweight division. In her UFC bantamweight debut, Eubanks dropped a close FOTN decision to Aspen Ladd.
