This Saturday’s UFC Orlando event features a match-up of top-fifteen strawweight contenders on the prelims when Angela Hill takes on Emily Ducote.
Hill (14-12-0) is looking to build on a unanimous decision victory over Loopy Godinez at a UFC Fight Night event this past August. Having lost five of her last seven fights against some of the top-ranked contenders in the world, Hill has been the victim of many questionable judges’ decisions during her UFC run and is determined to keep the judges out of it moving forward. The ‘Overkill’ is currently ranked number twelve in the UFC’s official strawweight contender rankings.
Ducote (12-6-0) made her UFC debut this past May, defeating former strawweight title challenger Jessica Penne by way of a rather dominant unanimous decision. The victory put the 28-year-old at number thirteen in the UFC’s official strawweight contender rankings. Also known as ‘Gordinha’, Ducote is riding high on a four-fight win streak and had captured the Invicta FC strawweight championship before signing with the UFC.
UFC Fight Night Orlando takes place this Saturday, December 3, 2022, from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, United States. The preliminary card, featuring Hill vs Ducote, will be aired live on ESPN+ from 7 pm ET.
