Current Invicta FC strawweight champion Angela Hill is expected to return to the Octagon to face Jessica Andrade at UFC 207 in Las Vegas on December 30th.
Hill joined the UFC back in 2014 with two of her first three fights in the promotion coming against top five ranked strawweights. Hill was eventually released from a contract with a 2-2-0 record.
Since that time, Hill has won four in a row while also winning the Invicta FC strawweight title, which she just recently defended in November. Now Hill is returning to the UFC with a lot more experience and has a chance to make a big impact against a top contendor. Her record is now 6-2-0.
Brazil’s Andrade has gone 2-0 since moving to strawweight back in June of this year, with a TKO victory over former title contender Jessica Penne and a recent submission victory over Scotland’s Joanne Calderwood.
A win over Hill could position Andrade for a potential title shot against current strawweight champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk sometime in 2017.
Jessica Andrade VS Angela Hill will take place December 30th at UFC 207. The event will be headlined by a Women’s Bantamweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Ronda Rousey.
