Most mixed martial artists dream of competing in the UFC. The fame, notoriety, and sometimes fortune that comes with fighting for the world’s most famous MMA organization is a heady experience.
However, most fighters’ Octagon daydream wouldn’t include a debut against the most dominant women’s mixed martial artist of all time and first-round TKO ending. But that’s what happened to Yana Kunitskaya. The Russian Featherweight/Bantamweight (10-4-1) leaped at the chance to transition from Invicta Fighting Championships, where she was the Bantamweight Champion.
