“The CrAsian” Andy Nguyen has just defeated Japan’s own wrestler Miyu Yamamoto in the very first round via an Armbar.
The fight saw Yamamoto desperately trying to and succeeding in taking Nguyen to the ground. Once on the ground Yamamoto failed to do much else, whilst Nguyen was working on submissions from bottom. She eventually locked in an extremely tight armbar, which forced Yamamoto give the verbal submission.
The King of the Cage atomweight champion, Nguyen now improves her record to 4-0-0. She spoke to us earlier in the week revealing her thoughts on her opponent, Rousey’s return, training stories and lots more. Click HERE to view the interview.
This is a huge win for Nguyen against a world class Japanese wrestler. 2017 is certainly looking to be a good one for this atomweight competitor.
