[WATCH] Miesha Tate talks about her win at SUG 2, will continue to grapple, calls out Mackenzie Dern and more

Last night at Submission Underground 2, Miesha ‘Cupcake’ Tate made her return to combat sports, following her retirement from MMA. The former UFC Bantamweight successfully defeated current UFC bantamweight and former opponent Jessica ‘Evil’ Eye in a submission only grappling bout. The two previously fought each other in an MMA fight back in 2015, with Tate getting the unanimous decision victory. Tate defeated Eye in what was a fairly dominant bout, although she wasn’t able to get the submission she won via escape time.

Tate spoke to Champions MMA about her victory and reveals she is having “fun” in the grappling world and will be taking more submission only bouts. She also expresses interest in competing against the number 1 female black belt in the world for the sport of BJJ, Mackenzie Dern.
