WATCH: “I’m not here just to win, I’m here to make history” Meet TUF 28 featherweight Leah Letson

This Wednesday’s edition of ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Heavy Hitters’ (TUF 28) features the third quarter final bout in the women’s featherweight division when Leah Letson takes on Bea Malecki.

Is Letson the UFC’s next featherweight star?

In the first quarter-final match-up, Pannie Kianzad earned the unanimous decision win over Katharina Lehner. Meanwhile, in the second, Julija Stoliorenko submitted Marciea Allen in the first. Both Kianzad and Stoliorenko have cemented their place in the semi-finals of a tournament to determine the UFC’s next top contender at 145-pounds.

Letson (4-1), also known as ‘Nidas’, is a 26-year-old who trains at the Pura Vida BJJ/MMA gym in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is on an impressive four-fight win streak, with the sole loss being a questionable split decision in her pro debut. In her most recent showing back in 2017, Letson knocked out Elizabeth Phillips in the first-round of their Invicta FC 21 encounter.

Ahead of Wednesday’s episode of TUF 28, the UFC has released a promotional video introducing Letson. Take a look below:
