Andrea Lee will make the first defense of her LFA flyweight world title next Friday when she battles Davina Maciel in the main event of Legacy Fighting Alliance 16.
Lee (7-2-0), also known as “KGB”, is currently on a three-fight win streak and has won five of her last six. She won the LFA flyweight title back in February after submitting Heather Bassett in the third round by way of an armbar. The 28-year-old is a known finisher with two knockout wins and three submission wins to her record. The Karate Mafia standout is considered one of the fan-favourites of the division and is currently the number seven ranked 125-pound flyweight contender in the world, according to the women’s MMA world rankings.
Her opponent for next Friday will no doubt be one of her toughest to date, Brazil’s Davina Maciel (6-1-0). She is also on a three-fight win streak, victorious in six of her last seven, Maciel’s sole career loss comes to top UFC strawweight Claudia Gadelha.
