Top ranked flyweight contender Vanessa Porto has announced she will be part of Invicta FC 23 in May 2017. She revealed the news in a public post on her Facebook page, along with a video. We’ve translated the post from Portuguese to English.
“Month of may I’ll be fighting the event invictafc ?? Kansas City!! and so, follow the training with Master Pedro Iglesias, perfecting each day more and more!!”
Porto (18-7-0) is a veteran of the sport who has been fighting as a professional for twelve years. She is currently the number four ranked 125 pound flyweight competitor in the world. She last fought in March 2016, losing a unanimous decision to the current Invicta FC flyweight champion, Jennifer Maia. She holds notable wins over the likes of Roxanne Modafferi, Tonya Evinger and the UFC featherweight champion, Germaine de Randamie. She’ll no doubt be looking to make a statement in May and put herself back into title contention.
