This Friday’s Bellator 191 event will be co-headlined by an exciting women’s flyweight fight between Valerie “Trouble” Letourneau and Kate Jackson.
American Top Team’s, Valerie Letourneau (8-6-0), is a former UFC veteran who is most known for challenging Joanna Jędrzejczyk for the strawweight title back in 2015, she managed to knock Jedrzejczyk down in the first round but ultimately lost via unanimous decision. During her time with the organization, she picked up impressive victories over Maryna Moroz, Jessica Rakoczy and Elizabeth Phillips. The 34-year-old is not a fan of the weight-cuts she had to endure during her time competing in UFC’s strawweight division, she believes she is the best fighter in the world at 125-pounds and plans to prove it in her Bellator MMA debut on Friday.
England’s Kate Jackson (9-2-1) will be fighting in her home country on Friday. Back in 2016 she was coached by Claudia Gadelha on season 24 of the UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter, losing out to eventual winner Tatiana Suarez in the semi-finals. Since the show, she has gone 2-0 and plans to make it 3-0 by picking up the biggest win of her career against a former UFC title challenger.
