Valentina Shevchenko wants quick turnaround following UFC 247 win, reveals the three women she’d be interested in fighting next

Valentina Shevchenko is hoping to return to the cage as soon as possible following a successful title defense at Saturday’s UFC 247 event.

Shevchenko made the third defense of her UFC flyweight title on Saturday.

Shevchenko (19-3-0) defeated Katlyn Chookagian via third-round TKO at UFC 247 to successfully defend her UFC flyweight title.

At the post-fight press conference, Shevchenko revealed that she’s looking to fight either Joanne Calderwood, Jennifer Maia or Roxanne Modafferi next.

We just watched the rankings of flyweight with Laura Sanko. After Kaitlyn [Chookagian] and Jessica Eye, it is JoJo Calderwood, it’s Jennifer Maia and Roxanne Modafferi.” Shevchenko said.

These three girls, I think they are strong fighters, very good skills. Each one has different style of fighting and I would love to fight any one from them.” she continued.

When asked if the three women she mentioned need more wins before fighting for the belt, Shevchenko said she hopes this isn’t the case as she wants to fight as soon as possible.

If they going to fight for one more fight, when will I be fighting? No, I want to fight.” she said.

‘UFC 247: Jones vs. Reyes’ took place on Saturday February 08, 2020, from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, United States. The main card featuring Shevchenko vs. Chookagian was aired live on pay-per-view via ESPN+ from 10pm EST.
