Valentina Shevchenko on upcoming Nunes fight: “It will be my fight. I will finish her as soon as I can”

Valentina Shevchenko will compete in the biggest fight of her career next Saturday when she battles Amanda Nunes for the UFC bantamweight championship at UFC 213.

Shevchenko will be looking for the finish next Saturday.

Shevchenko (14-2) previously fought Nunes back in March 2016, losing by way of a unanimous decision. However, although Nunes won the first two rounds, Shevchenko completely turned things around and dominated the third round. This has led many to believe that Shevchenko will emerge victorious in a five-round fight, due to Nunes’ cardio issues.

The “Bullet” was recently asked about the fight in an interview with TMZ. She is not bothered by the trash talk from Nunes, she is very confident the Brazilian will not stand a chance next Saturday.

She can say whatever she wants, but the result will be different. I have very good training camp, I’m full of power and it will be my fight. I prepare for everything but my goal, I will finish her as soon as I can” Shevchenko said.

The 29-year-old went on to talk more about Nunes, as well as the possibility of facing Ronda Rousey. You can watch the full interview below.

UFC 213: Nunes VS Shevchenko 2 takes place next Saturday 8th July from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The event will be aired live on pay-per-view.
