Undefeated boxing champion Heather Hardy set to make MMA debut at Bellator 180

Undefeated boxing champion Heather Hardy has signed with Bellator MMA as part of their 125-pound flyweight division. She will make her MMA debut on June 24th when she takes on Alice Yauger at Bellator 180.

Hardy, 35, has the perfect record in boxing at 20-0. She currently holds the WBC international female featherweight and super bantamweight belts. She also has experience in Muay Thai and Kickboxing. Hardy will continue to compete in boxing, as well as MMA.

The Brooklyn native was originally supposed to fight for Invicta FC in January, but her opponent withdrew late due to injury. Invicta officials confirmed that the promotion only had a deal with Hardy for that fight and when it fell through she became a free agent.

Meanwhile, her opponent, Yauger, (4-5) lost her last bout in Bellator back in January to Jessica Middleton via unanimous decision.

Bellator 180 takes place from the Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.

  1. Heather Hardy better have her takedown defense and grappling skills ready because I think Alice Yauger is definitely going to try to get this fight to the ground. Looking forward to Bellator getting the young prospect Bruna Ellen back into the cage. She looked good in her last Bellator outing against Carmela James.
