Undefeated amateur heavyweight Lisa Santisteban teases RIZIN FF pro debut

Undefeated heavyweight standout Lisa Santisteban, also known as “The Beast”, has been dominating the amateur MMA scene and is now preparing to make her professional debut.

Could Santisteban be set to compete on the July 30th RIZIN FF card?

It appears the 29-year-old could be set to make her professional debut as part of one of the most well known organizations in the world, RIZIN Fighting Federation. The promotion currently has the top-three heavyweights in the world under contract – Gabi Garcia, Jazzy Gabert and Destanie Yarbrough. Santisteban would certainly make a great addition to the roster.

“The Beast” revealed on her social media pages earlier this month that she has signed a contract with Battlescar Management. She teased big things for 2017, and included hashtags such as “#profight”, “#rizinff” and “#debut”. (Scroll down to see the full social media post).

New York’s Santisteban (3-0-0 Am) originally got into mixed martial arts as a way to lose weight. She lost over 100lbs in a year and found that she picked up the sport very fast, dominating the competition in the amateur scene. In her last two fights, she has knocked out her opponents in the very first round.

Santisteban is currently the highest ranked amateur heavyweight in the world and the fourth overall.
