UFC’s Elizabeth Phillips will make featherweight debut at Invicta FC 21

Invicta FC had added a late addition to this weekends fight card. UFC bantamweight Elizabeth Phillips will make her Invicta FC debut as part of the featherweight division. She will take on Leah Letsen.

This come after the MMA debut of popular female boxer Heather Hardy was cancelled due to an injury to her opponent Brieta Carpenter.

Phillips (5-4) last competed in a unanimous loss to Raquel Pennington at UFC 202 in August. The Sikjitsu product, who trains with the likes of Julianna Peña and Michael Chiesa, went 1-3 during her UFC run. Phillips, 30, owns a win over Jessamyn Duke.

Letson (3-1) has won three straight and is coming off a first-round TKO of Sarah Payant at Premier FC 20 in July. The 24-year-old Wisconsin native has also competed for King of the Cage.

Invicta FC 21 takes place this Saturday 14th January from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri. The event will air live on UFC Fight Pass and is headlined by an interim featherweight title bout between Charmaine Tweet and Megan Anderson.
