#UFCCharlotte medical suspensions: Justine Kish, Randa Markos get time off

Last week, at UFC on FOX 27, the women’s strawweight and flyweight divisions highlighted the night’s prelims with three interesting match-ups.

Justine Kish and Ji Yeon Kim made their respective flyweight debuts, with Kim upsetting Kish via a controversial split-decision. Next, in a strawweight clash, Randa Markos used her grappling heavy attack to grind out a win over Juliana Lima. Lastly, Katlyn Chookagian returned to the flyweight division to take a decision win from Italy’s Mara Romero Borella.

Post-fight night, the North Carolina State Athletic Commission has released medical suspensions for the athletes. Check out the suspensions below that include one flyweight and one strawweight out for a potential six months!

  • Mara Romero Borella: Suspended 30 days for left elbow pain
  • Randa Markos: Suspended 180 days max. for left knee pain, recommends MRI
  • Justine Kish: Suspended indefinitely for nasal fracture,  right knee and left shoulder; requires X-ray for nasal fracture
