UFC Rankings Report: Andrea Lee debuts, Tatiana Suarez moves up and Mackenzie Dern is removed

The UFC rankings have been shaken up following this past Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 129 event in Santiago, Chile.

Andrea Lee makes her debut in the UFC’s official media rankings.

Andrea Lee made her hugely anticipated UFC debut picking up the unanimous decision win over Veronica Macedo. The victory sees Lee debut in the UFC’s flyweight rankings at number-twelve (#12).

Meanwhile, in the night’s co-main event, Tatiana Suarez picked up the first-round submission win over Alexa Grasso. Suarez moves up to number-nine (#9) in the strawweight rankings, whilst Grasso falls to number-eleven (#11).

The UFC has also elected to remove Mackenzie Dern from its strawweight rankings, meaning Angela Hill reenters at number-fifteen (#15). The move follows backlash last week when many fighters complained about Dern being added to the strawweight rankings despite weighing in as a flyweight for her most recent contest.

  1. Finally, UFC & Dana White came to their senses. You don’t rank a Flyweight in a Strawweight Division. If Mackenzie Dern wants to be ranked in the Strawweight Division then she must make weight or else move up to the Flyweight Division.
