UFC parts ways with Viviane Pereira

Viviane “Sucuri” Pereira (13-2) announced via Instagram on Thursday that she is no longer with the UFC.

Pereira signed with the UFC at 11-0 in 2016. She entered the Octagon for the first time at UFC 206, picking up a split-decision win over Valerie Letourneau. She followed that up with a win over Jamie Moyle in June 2017.

Pereira’s unbeaten streak came to an end in November when she was outgrappled by Tatiana Suarez. Her skid extended to two when she was defeated by Yan Xianon in June.

After finishing her four-fight contract with the UFC, “Sucuri” says that they were unable to renew a contract with her due to “certain criteria.”

  1. I wonder what that “criteria” was. A 13-2 record sounds pretty impressive to me and those losses were against ladies with excellent records themselves.
