Lauren Mueller emerged victorious in her UFC debut on Saturday night earning herself a unanimous decision win over Shana Dobson.
Both women started the first round throwing hard, however into the middle Mueller begun landing the more impactful shots to where Dobson tried for a takedown which was stuffed. In the second round, Dobson started using her left jab to great effect and seemed more comfortable. Dobson threw a sidekick that launched Mueller across the cage, but Mueller caught Dobson with two hard right hands that shook Dobson toward the end of the round. In the third round, Mueller popped Dobson so hard that Dobson immediately went for a takedown, but could not keep Mueller down. Mueller’s forward pressure continued and busted up Dobson’s nose. Dobson hurt Mueller with two body shots, but could not take over the round.
