UFC signs Invicta FC flyweight champion Jennifer Maia

The UFC has signed Invicta FC flyweight champ Jennifer Maia to a multi-fight deal, the signing marks a big one for the organization’s newly-minted 125-pound division.

Maia has officially signed with the UFC.

Maia (15-4-1) is riding high on a six-fight winning streak. She defeated Vanessa Porto to win the Invicta FC belt in March 2016 and successfully defending it against Roxanne Modafferi and Agnieszka Niedzwiedz.

The top-five flyweight fighter commented on her signing in an official statement.

Everything in its time. I thank the affection and messages of all, that is what motivates me more and more and makes me see that I am on the right path. Signing a contract with the UFC is an accomplishment and accomplishment of all who are around me, I thank all the team that I have, through my will, they guide me to show a beautiful teamwork. I am very grateful also to all who gave me the opportunity to build my trajectory” Maia said.
