This past weekend, UFC 207 saw the much anticipated return of former UFC bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey. It had been a year since Rousey stepped
into the octagon after a devastating knockout loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 back in November 2015. After taking most of 2016 off Rousey seemed re-energized and focused on getting back to the top. However, things couldn’t have gone worse for Rousey who was battered and knocked out by UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes in just 48 seconds.
Following the fight, the internet exploded with fans, media, and fighters all giving their opinions on the main event, many of which were jokes towards Rousey’s performance. Bellator’s Michael “Venom” Page mocked her in a video that went viral and Ronda’s boyfriend, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, wasn’t too happy about it. He quickly lashed out on Twitter responding to MVP and challenging him to a fight, he later deleted the tweet.
Take a look at the deleted tweet below:
Travis Browne is set to take on Derrick Lewis at UFC 208. The event will be headlined by a featherweight championship bout between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie. UFC 208 will be held on February 11, 2017 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
