Holly Holm picked up the knockout victory over Bethe Correia at the UFC Fight Night 111 event in Singapore. Holm landed a brutal head kick in the third round, followed by ground punches for the victory.
The Preacher’s Daughter improves her record to 11-3-0, picking up her first victory since the upset win over Ronda Rousey back in 2015. As well as her victory over Rousey, the 35-year-old holds UFC wins over Raquel Pennington and Marion Reneau.
Meanwhile, Correia’s record drops to 10-3-1. The 33-year-old is now 1-3-1 in her last five fights. The Brazilian’s next showing will no doubt be a pivotal one for her in proving she is a UFC calibre fighter. Her sole UFC victories come over women have been cut from the roster – Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke, as well as a split decision victory over Jessica Eye who is currently on a four-fight losing streak.
