UFC featherweight champ Cris Cyborg challenges WWE’s Becky Lynch to August 20 bout at Summerslam 2017

This past Saturday at the UFC 214 pay-per-view event, Cris Cyborg picked up her first ever UFC world championship, knocking out Tonya Evinger in the third round to win the UFC featherweight title.

Cyborg is considered by many as “the baddest female on the planet”.

It appears Cyborg (18-1-0, 1 NC) now has her sights set on challenging a world champion from the world of pro-wrestling. Speaking on her social media page following the victory, the Brazilian called out former WWE Smackdown women’s champion, Becky Lynch.

I won my UFC 214 fight. Triple H, now I want Becky Lynch in the WWE at Summerslam” Cyborg wrote on her Twitter page.

Summerslam is an annual professional wrestling pay-per-view event which this year is set to take place on August 20th.

Professional wrestling is a form of performance art which combines athletics with theatrical performance. The matches have predetermined outcomes to heighten entertainment value and all combative maneuvers are executed with the full cooperation of those involved and carefully performed in specific manners intended to lessen the chance of actual injury. These facts were once kept highly secretive, but are now a widely accepted open secret.
