Tonight, at the UFC 25th Anniversary Show in Denver, Colorado, top five ranked bantamweight contenders Raquel Pennington and Germaine de Randamie did battle in the final of three exciting women’s bouts.
RECAP: A lot of love from the Colorado crowd for the hometown fighter. A quick start off the glove touch from Rocky. After trading at range, the majority of round one was spent in the clinch with Pennington pressuring and GDR landing some hard knees. A few de Randamie right hands in the second round popped the head back of Rocky and cause some bleeding. Rocky is still moving well and timing level changes, however, has been unsuccessful in all takedown attempts. There was more of the same in the final frame. After an accidental low knee from GDR, the fighters embraced before clinching and trading shots for the final minute.
