The UFC 247 medical suspensions have been revealed and it may come as a surprise to many that Valentina Shevchenko faces the lengthiest potential layoff.
Shevchenko (19-3-0) dominated Katlyn Chookagian at this past Saturday’s UFC 247 event, ultimately finishing by way of a third-round TKO.
The flyweight champ appeared to take very little damage in the fight and in the post-fight press conference was adamant she wants a quick turnaround. However, she faces the lengthiest suspension of all the women on the card and could be out until August 7.
The medical suspensions were handed out by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The organization does not disclose full details, so it’s unknown at this time whether Shevchenko can be cleared early by a doctor, as is usually the case with longer suspensions.
